Angela is a qualified social worker with a Bachelor of Social Work and a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families in the Porirua community. She brings a strengths-based approach to every client interaction—grounded in empathy, respect, and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Her background includes experience in hospital social work and community mental health, where she has supported people through a wide range of challenges with compassion, resilience, and practical problem-solving. She has conducted assessments, managed diverse caseloads, and provided one-on-one support and advocacy for clients and their families. She has also trained as an end-of-life doula, further expanding her ability to provide compassionate support during challenging times. An end-of-life doula is a non-medical person who provides support, education, and advocacy for individuals and their families who are facing terminal illness or imminent death. They help facilitate a peaceful transition by offering emotional, spiritual, and practical assistance during the dying process. Their goal is to ensure a "good death" for their clients, helping them navigate the complexities of end-of-life care. She is always open to learning, growing, and finding new ways to contribute meaningfully to her community such as volunteering at Mary Potter Hospice.Outside of work, Angela enjoys participation in her church, walking her dog, spending time with family & friends, reading, and exploring Wellington’s local cafes.
